Verve Aviation is a UK-wide recruiter covering every corner of the country. Using our permanent offices as our base and using the latest technology available, we successfully recruit and place candidates all over the UK for a variety of clients with varying needs. From short-term cover to long-term placements, we’re here to help.

Step by Step: A Proven Process

1. CV SCREENING

Our consultants analyse every application and CV before accepting or rejecting the applicant. Although experience is important, transferable skills and the potential to be a good member of your team are essential and can compensate for lack of experience. All candidates are contacted whether successful or not.

2. TELEPHONE INTERVIEW

If candidates progress to this stage, a Verve Aviation consultant telephones the applicants for a one-to-one conversation. Even if they do not have the best experience, their politeness, passion and effort to convince them that they are good candidates, will make them likely to pass to the next step of our process: an in-person interview.

3. IN-PERSON INTERVIEW

Face to face, our expert recruiters will gauge the candidate’s level of interest in joining our team, as well as measuring their familiarity with the airport sector. If the candidate is ultimately successful, this conversation will tell our consultants which kind of training is recommended for the candidate and which kind of position best suits their abilities. Success at this stage automatically leads to the candidate being booked onto their first training session.

4. AIRPORT TEAM INTERVIEW

Following a successful in-person interview, candidates will be offered to your team for your own interview, if required.

5. VETTING

Before candidates start work with you, our Vetting Team completes background checks. For any airside roles, a 5-year background check is completed. For landside roles, the check looks back over 2 years. This is also the stage when references are contacted and evidence is sought for periods where the candidate was not in education or employment. A basic Criminal Record Check will be carried out by DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
